Over 1m people in the UK are being forced into poverty due to the current economic crisis, many of them children. People from different backgrounds in all parts of the country are having to skip meals, rely on foodbanks and consider money lenders.
Action can be taken, however. Over £2bn surplus products are generated in the UK every year, including essential items like nappies, bedding and warm clothing. We receive donated surplus like this and give it to those who need it to survive.
Now more than ever, we need your help to allow us to continue to support people experiencing hardship.

Just £10 from you will allow us to distribute a box packed with essential cleaning products and toiletries. What might seem like trivial items, are absolutely crucial to people living in poverty. Just imagine the difference feeling clean and having a clean living space would make to the mental health of someone struggling to provide even these basics for their family.

Corporate Donations
Kind-hearted corporations are the backbone of Giving World. Without their contributions of surplus stock, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. However, even if you don’t have surplus stock to spare, you can still help us help millions of the most vulnerable people across the UK, by making a corporate donation.
- £1,000 will help us get essential food, toiletries, and warm clothing to 2,941 people in poverty.
- £5,000 will help us get essential food, toiletries, and warm clothing to 14,705 people in poverty.
- £10,000 will help us get essential food, toiletries, and warm clothing to 29,411 people in poverty.

The Giving World Wishlist is a mixture of household essentials like soap, toothpaste and shampoo, as well as activities for young children like family card games, Jenga and puzzles. You can directly purchase an item or two to be sent to Giving World and we will build a family pack.

Our entire model is based on the big-hearted nature of thousands of businesses that donate their surplus stock to us every single day. If you have any surplus stock or essential goods that you would like to donate to people who are in desperate need of them, simply complete our donation form with details of your products, and we’ll take care of the rest.
